Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'd like to think I'm quite a fair and understanding beta-reader. I beta-read things as I would want MY stuff to be beta-read, so to speak. I won't be rude or critical of mistakes. If you're really asking for my help and opinion I'll give it to you with respect and sincerity, as long as you respond with the same. Other than that...meh? I'm a really easy-going kind of person. I'm already honored to be asked to beta-read another work. I won't take it lightly and help you to the very best of my ability. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Haha, well...listing my strengths isn't an easy task for me. But, I suppose I keep characters in-character easily. I've yet to recieve a reveiw where someone tells me otherwise. I'm simply very nit-picky about that sort of thing. Oh, and I'm a spelling/grammar whore. So rest assured that editing for that sort of thing is my strong point. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Everything else. AHAHA~ Kidding. Sort of. I'm critical about my own skills. But one thing I can say for sure is that I'm terrible when it comes to thinking ahead. You'll see that's why most of my stories are one-shots. It's not that I don't have the capacity for longer stories, but I just don't have the imaginative mind power to think of a good idea and keep it going to give it a satisfying beginning, middle, and end. So perhaps what I'm trying to say is that it's not good to bounce ideas off me. I'll probably be bad at it. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Although I'd like to say I'm fine with beta-reading just about anything, in reality I'm not that awesome. Sorry. But if I'm not interested in what I'm reading, how can I come up with good feedback? If you request my services, please keep in mind if the plot isn't worth while, if it involves a pairing I don't particular like, I'm afraid I can't accept. But don't be worried about rating or slash. Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Anything with an excess of OCs, especially self-insert. No Mpreg. No script format. Basically, nothing stupid. Just use common sense, people. |
