Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
All I ask is that you are open to ideas. Spelling mistakes happen to everyone and that is obviously what betareaders are for so that is no big deal. But if I offer a suggestion, don't go crazy and say that is not who you are. I'm only here to help. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am a good speller and can usually catch small spelling mistakes. I have a pretty extensive vocabulary so you won't have to worry about sounding too bland. My friends call me a "grammar nazi" because I often correct what they are saying. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Weaknesses... I can lose track of what I'm doing or become uninterested. Also, any foreign or weird saying that I have no idea what they mean, I obviously won't be able to correct. You always have to remember that betareaders can't catch every mistake the first time. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Well, I like romance, comedy, drama stories. I'm comfortable with femslash! I would rather beta stories about my favorite shows: Criminal Minds, Charmed, NCIS, Gilmore Girls, etc. But I'm willing to help with anything. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I don't like slash so please don't ask me to read guy on guy fics. While I'm completely comfortable with the idea outside of the fanfiction world, they are really not my thing. |
