Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm a sci-fi nerd and a writer, and I'm fond of fanfiction, though it's not what I write the majority of the time. I mostly stick to the Matrix fandom, but I'm open to other things as well. I love AUs and what-ifs. I'm more interested in characters and their psychology than I am in action and intricate plots, but the two often go together, and I can do both. I'm fine with slash if you can make it realistic. I'm up for any genre, though I generally avoid straight-up humor, and I don't care if you stay within genre lines. I can check grammar and spelling for you, but I'd be perfectly willing to help with bigger plot-issues as well. |

Grammar, spelling, all the basics. I'm good with dialog, and I like to think I have a fairly good grip on general style and plot development. |

I cannot, for my life, write smut. I have nothing against it, and I'll read it and tell you if i think it's well written, but that's about as much as I can do in that area. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
As long as I'm familiar with the canon story it should be fine. The Matrix is my favorite category by far, and the only one I actually write for myself, but I'll read for anything listed in my preferences. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I'm not a fan of excessive use of OCs, though if they're in there as side characters I don't mind. Please no pairings between OCs and canon characters; I realize such setups can be well done, but they're not my thing. On the other hand, most pairings between canon characters should be fine. |
