Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I like to try and help improve peoples' grammar and characterization through friendly and helpful advice. I try not to be too hard on you, but if you can't take some friendly critique, I wouldn't suggest me. I don't scold for mistakes and I simply try and mostly coax along to improvement. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
All the categories I beta for I know very well. XD Therefore, I know situations that have occurred and haven't occurred. I can do AU, as well, so I can help improve characterization in alternate universes, since it is more challenging to do so. I try to very hard to see what I personally like in fics, which is interesting word choice, strong characterization and at least a vague plot. |

I'm very busy, so I tend to put things off for a long time. I've also been told I'm too nice and not harsh enough when it comes to critiquing. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I like fluffy romances most of all. They make me grin and coo and feel good inside. I can also do angsty stuff since I enjoy reading about turmoil and high emotions in characters.
Pairings wise, for my fandoms I can do mostly anything. I am more familiar with some, though, those being:

I can't beta smut. Honestly. I can write it or read it, but trying to critique people on it just makes me really uncomfortable. I will, but it's a lot harder for me... I also can't beta S&M stuff at all, I just can't -touch- it. It makes me squirm. |
