Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
As a beta-reader I have a tendency to look out for spelling mistakes and grammatical errors more than anything else. However, I do pick up on inconsistencies within stories and plot lines. I also pick up on repetition because it is something that I tend to do a lot of within my own work. If I know the characters that I’m reading about then I will be able to judge whether or not the characters within the story is within the character’s normal abilities. However, if the story is a complete change of events then character’s normalities and signatures can be forgotten about.
