Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I like to edit, scarily enough. I should probably have gone into an English major rather than politics, but what can I say? Plots are always important, but just as important is the fluidty behind the plot -- if the grammar is bad, if it´s unreadable, or all over the place with no center, it needs help. I like to read [go figure, right?], and as such I like to see a good story be read as well -- I have patience, I can generally explain what I think should be said in one place or another, so if your story is going somewhere I´m hoping I can help out some. |

Grammar -- words spelled incorrectly -- minor things like that are fairly easy for me to catch on the first read through. |

Probably I could use a little more work in the department of structure -- when someone is trying to do something long winded and the like I generally like to cut it short, though only if it works. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
It doesn´t really matter, I don´t believe. I´m probably best at humor than anything else if that helps you out ... Your best bet is to look over my stories and sort of see how I write and go from there. Either you´ll like it and think I can help you out, or you´ll scrunch up your nose and move onto someone a little more talented than I. It´s totally your call. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Okay, so sex would totally be out -- trust me, I wouldn´t know how to make a good sex scene, so please don´t ask. Romance ... eh, I can try my best, but I´m not a really mushy person inside, or at least I don´t think so. But it´s seriously up to you -- ask me more questions if you have any and I´ll see if I can´t give an answer that´ll give you a reason to ask me to be your beta. |
