As a beta-reader I would be looking for the regular stuff but I would be extremely interested in anything new or different.

I can usually spot grammar errors and I usually know within the first few chapters if I am going to be interested in continuing the story.
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I have a very small interest in stories and my preferences are usually the same but sometimes I find a story outside of that range that I absolutely adore.

Well written stories that grab the readers attention and hold it for the entire story. I want you to make look forward to the next update.
