Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am one of those people who read fanfiction for much too long, and wrote it just as long. While I have not been actively writing for a while, that is because I am in college and got fed up with people nagging me to update rather rudely (they were few and far between, but it's hard to do when you feel unappreciated).
I'd like to give beta'ing a chance, so here I am, with a lot to give to people whose stories I like. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Well...I am very, very technical. Grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. are the strongest for me, although I'm pretty good at plot and character development as well. I've gotten much better over the years, and I'm a stickler for correct-ness whenever I can be. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm a pretty picky reader, but if I like something, I'll stick with it no matter what happens. It might take me a week or so to get back to someone, but a promise is a promise, and I'm making this one.
Also...time constraints. Enough said. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'll take pretty much any genre, but I'm best with anime, movies and television shows I've seen, or books and manga I've read. Since I've read and seen quite a bit, you'd have to ask first and if I either like the story or have seen/read the category, I'll take a look into it.
The list of 'preferred' are things that I think I know well enough to be a very good beta for, but I am not limited to those items. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Anything I haven't seen or read, pretty much. |
