Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
All hail the Grammar Nazi! Seriously, though I've little experience in beta-ing, I'm a fervent worshiper of the Grammar Gods. I'm quite pleased to be of service, shedding the light of good grammar upon the benighted world. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm a grammar NUT. Seriously. You'd be hard pressed to find me using hardcore AIM-isms, and I despise "133t" with all of my being. I think I also have a built-in spell checker. It's pretty sweet. I'm quite open-minded about plots and pairing and things as well. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I tend to mess around with paragraphing more than desired by the author and occasionally over-use commas. I can also be rather forceful with my ideas for words, and might dominate the story if given too much free reign. I've little experience, as well, but that should get better with... experience... (Ignore the redundancy in that statement.) |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'd like to beta stories within my fandoms, I guess.. Inquire further within. I've dabbled in a respectable bit, so I shouldn't raise serious problems. And even then I'm willing to beta, as long as it's not so deep in the fandom plot that I have no idea what's going on. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Er, lemons, not so much. And if there's a fic that is seeped to far in the fandom plot in a fandom I don't know, I'm not so hot on that. Besides that, I'm game. :D *Nice Guy Pose* |
