Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I have been writing fan fiction for quite some time now and I really do enjoy it. If you considering having me betaread for you, then please note the below:
1. I am a college student with a part time job. I will put you on my priority list, but know that my family, school, and work will have to come before you.
2. If I am going to be spending my time working with your story, then please understand that I do want to help you and I want your story to look good and reap many reviews. So you may not like what I have to say about somethings (i.e. spelling, grammar, etc.), but know that I am not doing it to put you down. I just want to help and that is my way of doing it.
3. Respect. I'll respect you, you respect me. Period.
I know that may make me sound harsh or mean, but I really am not. Those are just things that I feel need to be said. ;-) |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I would say that that spelling, grammar, and format are strengths of mine. I am also a stickler when it comes to keeping characters "in character" and true to the show and themselves. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Um, my weakness would probably be that I can be a softie at times. So you may have to remind me every now and then that you asked for my help and that I need to state my opinions about certain factors. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
There really aren't any "preferred" stories that I can think of right now. I would probably rather not do many crossovers, as I may not know much about the other fandom. If you still want me help with that, just check and see if I perhaps am familiar with the other fandom. I may be and if so, then we're on a roll. It never hurts to ask! |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I will have no part in betareading any stories that contain the following:
General:
Slash
Scripts
Incest
Graphic sexual scenes
Touched By an Angel:
Angel shipping!!!! I am strongly against it, and will NOT do it. Ever. |
