Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Well, I've never beta-ed through this site before, but I do have beta experience. I have beta-ed many different stories. I do not beta for those who are writing fic outside one of my fandoms. I require to know the fandom so I can help you keep everyone in character. If I don't know the fandom, I can't do that. I will help to fix your grammar, typos, and characterizations. I'm here for any advice you would like me to give, or any plot ideas you would like to run by me. The way I beta is so: Essentially, you send me the text, and I will make changes. The changes will be marked, probably in bold or some other similar form. At the end of the text, I will leave notes about any significant changes I made, and what I thought of the text. My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm very good with grammar and dialogue. I am all about proper punctuation. I also consider myself very good with keeping things in character. I'm also good with delving into the thought process of a character. I won't lie, if it's a shipper fic, I'll probably be better equipped to beta it if it's a ship I appreciate. But who wouldn't? |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
The time in which I do my beta work may not be preferable to some. I usually do my writing and editing around midnight, so this is when I would probably do my beta-ing. If you want it back immediately, I may not be your girl. But if you pick me, you'll usually get it back the next day. |
