Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Firstly, grammer and spelling. I do not tolerate bad grammer/spelling at all. I tend to help out more structure-wise than anything else. I'll take your paragraph/page and analyze it and spit back questions and comments about what is unclear, recommend different vocabulary or a different idea, and give my ideas on what I expect to happen. This goes with writing as well as poetry. I also have a good sense of transition, and know a large vocabulary. I'm a writer myself and write in my spare time.
Secondly, I have expectations of you, the author. A couple of mistakes in spelling are fine, but make sure to doublecheck on Word. Remember that most of the things I tell you are only advice! If you want to keep something, feel free to do it! As long as you explain it, and say what it adds to the story (whether it's important or not), I'll happily help you work it through so that both of us can understand! It's your story! I'm only here to help :D |

I get easily frustrated, so continuous mistakes will probably make me give up. Also, please use the correct forms of words that Word may not pick up--such as using the word "they're" when it's supposed to be "their". |

Manga/Anime. I'm a big freak.
Video games. Any, really. I'm a big fan of Nintendo, and I also like old S-Ness games and games by Valve.
Anything based off books, really. Preferably Harry Potter, but if you're not an HP writer, contact me anyway if you're interested.
