Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I enjoy reading and writing. I’d write more but I just don’t have enough ideas or the enthusiasm to keep coming up with ideas. Please don’t judge me on my works on fanfiction, ahah. It’s been a few years since I wrote those, and I can tell you now, I have matured a lot more. Well I hope anyway… If it helps anyway, I’ve completed drama and literature courses so I know my stuff when it comes to characterisations, plots, themes, developing tension, story structuring and all that. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I have a very critical eye for spelling and grammar. Grammar especially. Like I’ve said, I’ve done courses in drama and literature, so that should come in a lot of use. I’m particularly good at dialogue set up, ahah, even my teacher said so. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My weakness I suppose would be that I haven’t had much experience in this – yet. As well as the fact, that I may not always have the time to beta your work. Work and my social life can be quite demanding at times. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer fiction about stories familiar to me. For example: anything Tolkien or King Arthur. Check out my profile for any others. |

I don’t want to have to write the story for you, although I will help with ideas, and I’ll be throwing in suggestions all the time. Providing I can think of them…
If your fanfiction is about a movie/book that I haven’t heard of, or don’t know much about, I probably won’t be able to help out much character/plot/story wise. But if you just need someone to read over your work and give an opinion/suggestion or two, then I’m always here. |
