Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I love reading fanfiction.
Give me anything that catches my interest and I'm your BETA reader.
I like to read stories and fall in love with them. I should feel and envision your story with you in order to fulfill my duty.
I'm very serious about this and will only use my time with skilled (or want to improve) writers. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
1. I believe I'm good in keeping characters IN CHARACTER.
2. I excel in comedic/hidden suggestions and effects.
3. I'm good in catching grammar mistakes.
4. CAPITALIZATION is a must in my book! Seriously people... names, cities and such need to be CAPITALIZED!
5. Redundancy. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
1. Story development, meaning: you need to tell me where you're going with your story, or I'll take it to another level (which you probably don't want).
2. I have the tendency of leaving words out in sentences... This usually happens when I'm writing though, so don't worry about it.
3. Too much description and no dialog! >_< I mean C'mon! This type of writing usually bores me, especially if it's complex writing/descriptions.
4. I'm not too good in the 'Fighting Scenes' department... I'll try though. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
1. HETERO material.
2. Romance *sigh* I like lemons too =D
3. Material that I know... like some of the anime, manga, movies, books I watch and read (Check out my preferences...)
4. LONG STORIES, like 10 chapters or more... I love ONE-Shots, but long stories excite me. An actual plot to follow, you know?

Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
1. Yaoi/Yuri
2. Incest.... seriously people... just no.
3. Too much lime. I like lemons with taste. And lets keep it M please, not XXX.
4. Descriptive or just dialog pieces.
5. Out of Character (OOC) or Another Universe (AU) stories. This is fanfiction. If you want to write your own original piece, this is not a place for you.
Placing an anime character... lets pick: Naruto* into a vampire story. No.
6. Crossovers. I cringe at this stuff. It's just NO. Uchiha Sasuke will never ever meet Harry Potter, ever.
7. Clerith, my ultimate NO. Haruno Sakura with any other character that is not Sasuke or Naruto.
8. Character bashing... I love a good joke, but character bashing is very inappropriate & childish.
9. Westerns.
10. Rape/Gore/Suicide
11. Too Much Fluff.
12. Songfics, Poems, Chat/IMs conversations. Ughh. |
