Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm pretty quick about getting back to people with my thoughts and changes. I'm good when you need to check spelling, punctuation, and proper grammar use. If I know how characters are supposed to act, i.e if it's from a TV show or a book, I can generally tell you if they are out of character. I enjoy reading and writing, and am always looking for ways that I can help people better their own things. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm best at grammar, punctiation, and spelling. I'm pretty good at tweaking word order to make things less awkward, and I can usually tell if something doesn't seem to fit with how the story is being told. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I've been told that I can be almost too good at fixing things. I have a large vocabulary, and I often forget that not all people do. Or that the story is intended for everyone to be able to read and understand. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer reading things that have romance in them. Or that are general. I'm also specific about the relationships I can read without getting upset. For that list, check my profile. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Unless it will end happily, I can't stand angst. If I'm going to beta it, I want to be able to enjoy it while I'm fixing things. If I don't enjoy what I'm reading, I'm liable to not want to beta it any more. |
