Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I would rather beta the stories that I have described in the 'preferred' category of my profile since those are the things I know the most about and can probably be the most helpful with. I don't do song fics often, so don't ask. Also, I will go to town, so to speak, on your work if you let me edit. I don't think I'm harsh at all, but honest, and I give my opinion on what I think works the best, though obviously my word is not law. |

I'm undeniably a grammar as well as spelling fanatic. I love editing; be thankful I don't have a red pen. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
As a writer, I am fairly wordy and often my word choice is less than perfect. Also, I have a tendancy to not edit my own work yet I love editing others. Time is something I do not have often so it might take me a little bit longer to beta but during the summer, I should free up a bit. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Romance and humor are my preferred subjects to beta as well as X-Men, CSI (Las Vegas), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Queer as Folk, Grey's Anatomy, and some books such as In the Forests of the Night. If your fic is rated Mature, you're almost guaranteed my beta. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Song fics and cross overs, I frankly just don't do them because I dislike reading them. |
