Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I've done a little beta-reading before. I enjoy it, because it means it's one less published story that doesn't have atrocious spelling etc.
Look, anything I suggest NOT to do with grammar/spelling or other technical things, you really don't have to listen to me, if you really feel that's how the story should go. But if you ignore everything I say, please don't put my name in your A/N.
Also, just tell me how honest you want me to be (ie, how thick your skin is). Tell me how experienced you are - if you're a beginner, I'll go heaps easier on you. Start fixing some things and get to the rest. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Technical stuff, ie, spelling and grammar. Bad foundations (generally good English) for a story annoy me the most. You must follow my advice about English unless I say otherwise, because otherwise you're just breaking the rules. Argh! Inexcusable. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I tend to go on a bit and interpret your stories my way, and suggest changes which may not even make sense to you. Please feel free to ignore them.
I also may take a little while to get back to you, so please let me know about when you'd like me to respond by, and I'll do my best. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I love Chase/Cam and Wuddy. I like fluff, humour and romance. I'll do these any time. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Look, I'll give anything a go, but if there's something I just don't enjoy because it's not my genre/ship, I will let you know, and you can tell me whether you'd prefer to find another beta or not. I just may be a bit harsher on stories I'm not particularly fond of is all. |
