Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am incredibly fond of writing. I have been ever since 5th or 6th grade when I wrote my first (albeit, very immature) story of what happened to Rapunzel and her prince after they were married. I am a stickler for grammar and spelling, since mistakes in those areas can make a story hard to read, and that's where my main focus is as a beta-reader- making it easy for the reader to follow, as well as keeping characters in character. (Oddly, it's easier to fix those mistakes in other people's stories than it is to make things work in my own...) Anyone who requests my help must be able to take constructive criticism and trust that any changes I suggest are changes that I feel will greatly improve a story. |

I can be extremely critical. I am very perfectionist about grammar and spelling and can be a bit temperamental. I also am not the best for perfecting battle scenes. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'm really more of a romance kind of girl, but I will work with basically anything. Obviously I'd prefer to work with fandoms where I know all the characters because I can help you better with those fandoms. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I will not beta read fanfictions that are pure horror, and I also avoid fanfictions with gay pairings, especially so for children's shows/movies. Also, I DO NOT like stories with excessive language or unnecessary violence, and will NOT beta read them. Oh, and no sex scenes. I can't help with those! ;) |
