My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Spelling, grammar, usage, and story structure are areas I particularly pay attention to when reading critically. I also am very familiar with the canon background of several anime and US tv series, as well as a wide range of sci/fi and fantasy books. I dont mind reading something based on a show or book I've never watched or read. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Well, I'm a teacher so if I sound a little too nitpicky sometimes, that's my excuse! But being nitpicky with technical aspects of writing doesn't mean I don't like the story! I'm not so good at assisting in creating plot or determining what a character should do next. That's something best left up to the writer and the original inspiration for the fic. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I adore fluffy romance stories, but I enjoy suspense/thriller type stories and parodies too. I'm also rather embarassingly fond of angst. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
No graphic depictions of homosexuality, or romances of that type please. Also, no extreme violence/torture/horror elements. The sort of themes found in the Law&Order shows, or violence seen in Samurai X are about my limit. |
