Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
^_^ Hello! I'm Bulba, and I'll be betareading your stories, I guess. I'll check for grammar and spelling, along with how well characters are developed and if the story makes any sense. I know my stories aren't always the best checked, but everyone has different standards for checking their own work over checking others work. -_-;. I'm an English tutor at my school, and have experience in checking work. So... yeah, I'm good. ^_^ |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I have a lot of ideas when I write, and I try to get everything out. You'll see with a few of my stories I'm panning to a lot of different perspectives, especially in Arcean Reflex. Also, I'm good with word choice I guess, like knowing what word could be most effective in a certain situation. I'm an honest person, and if I see mistakes I'll tell you, but I'll also say what I like about your story, and how it can improve. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
;_; I have no self-esteem. My stories are usually too long, I feel my characters are too undeveloped, and not enough people read my stories, much less review them. I doubt I'll even get to betaread anything. I'm sad...
Also, I'm kinda unreliable. If anyone out there has ever heard of Pokejungle.com, I was supposed to be a videogame walkthrough writer on there, but I never got to writing any walkthroughs. I'm kinda busy... a lot. I'll do my best to get to your stories. And if I don't, I see no reason that you shouldn't be mad. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I like Pokemon and Kim Possible. I can do Harry Potter too. Let's see... I'd really, REALLY like to check Pokemon fics. I read Naruto fics also. I like dramatic stories, with romance. Funny stories are also cool, or anything with a really BA character. I guess I can read Eragon too, but I don't often. If there's any other type you want me to read, just ask. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Sorry to say it, but I'm uncomfortable with the guy on guy thing. There's nothing wrong with it, but two guys... *shivers* Girl on girl is fine, but not guys. *coughIknowitsadoublestandardwhocarescough* Also, I don't like when random OCs and official characters mix. If you notice, the only story I have with OCs mixing is A Rocket's World, which is really old and its only one OC character. Soo... yeah. ^_^ |
