Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader Who am I as a Beta Reader? That's a bit of a tough one, but ok...I am just someone who honestly loves fanfiction and I wish to help those who love ff as much as I do to improve their writing style. My only expectation is that the writer be willing to accept when something is wrong, be willing to change it and not take it personally if I tell them something is wrong in their writing style, i.e. grammar, sentence structure, punctuation or spelling. I wish not to offend anyone, merely help them try to achieve their true potential. | My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths I am in the top of my English classes at my college, so I am very good at what I do; However, we all can miss something or make a mistake. Thus is the nature of humanity. Therefore, if I do miss or make a mistake, I wouldn't be offended in any way to have it pointed out to me. We all have room for improvement, which is what I wish to help myself and others achieve. | My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses I can miss things, as any human can. I do my best, but mistakes can happen. | Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others I LOVE Twilight, True Blood, Vampire Diaries, Buffy, Harry Potter, The Outsiders and Lord of the Rings. These are my PREFERRED, but I will NOT turn anyone down if they wish for my help. I'm sorry to anyone else, but I can only read English. | Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for I will read anything in order to help those who need/want it. While I may not prefer some things (like rape or abuse), sometimes it is what makes a storyline develop, much as I abhor the thought of it. |
