Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader br /
I have a fondness for grammar and a penchant for detail, and I love assisting others in their narrative endeavors. Apologies in advance for being a bit aloof and flaky; I prefer being busy and once in a while I turn into a recluse. br /

Regarding style, I can and will check grammar, spelling, plot consistency, genre-detail, and characterization, unless of course you want me to focus on a particular aspect of the writing. I am also a stickler for tenses and love perfecting dialogue which echoes a character's "voice". br /

My expectations are that you at least create paragraph breaks; if you give me a wall of text, I'm just going to lose my temper. Please give me a rough estimate of how much writing experience (academic, creative writing only, professional, etc). | My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths I would honestly say I am well-rounded in all areas of critiquing, including, but not limited to: Grammar, spelling, plot aspects, consistentcy, characterization, and description / expansion upon ideas. I have an appreciation for fluidity and variation of plot and description. In particular, I have a knack for tenses, grammar, and drama.
Experience: Writing Tutor; (Newspaper Editor) | My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses I do not like to sugarcoat or 'beat around the bush' regarding corrections or flaws; however, the same goes for praise. | Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others Generally, it is easier for me to BETA works in fandoms that I have written for, or at least understand. Those inquiring are always welcome to ask because there are plenty of fandoms for which I have not written, but have watched / read / seen. | Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for Anything that lacks paragraph breaks - and no, that is not a joke. |
