Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader Hello! I've been unoffically beta'ing stuff for awhile, so now I've gone offical! I'm the kind of person who likes to help out with stuff, whether it be plot flow, dialogue, details, characters, or whatever. I try not to be rude, but I do like to let you know what I think needs adjusting. That's the reason why you send stories to a beta reader, right? | My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths I'm especially good with dialogue and plot flow. I'm also good with characters, though how good I am depends on which character I'm working with. I can help with summaries and titles too. | My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses I have good grammar and spelling, but I may not catch everything. I usually focus on the story more than the spelling and grammar. | Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others I stick to fandoms I have written for before. I have experience in those areas and therefore can tell what is easy and difficult to handle, and what you should (or should not) do. Any genre is fine, but I like to see weird or interesting plots. Though I will take multi-chapter works if you're really serious about it, I prefer one-shots or stories with only a few chapters. | Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for Like I said before, I would rather beta for fandoms I have written for myself. Also, I don't handle heavy slash very well (light slash is okay though) |
