Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader As a betareader, I tend to go directly for grammar and the "flow" of words. If something sounds choppy, I really make it a priority to try to fix it. In the way of content, I will leave it alone entirely unless my input is asked for, and may inquire about situations where the writing is not clear enough to understand what is happening only because it would directly affect the reader. | My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths My strengths lie in knowing when something "sounds" right. If a sentence sounds bad or doesn't flow, it discourages the reader from trying to work through it. Thus, this is the first thing I will aim to fix. | My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses Though I understand not everyone writes "smut" And I do not even know if it is acceptable on this website, I am honestly not the best at editing it. This isn't to say I have anything against it, just to say that I do not have the enlightenment in that category to be someone you would want to ask for help with it. | Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others I will generally accept anything! Though I enjoy comedies and fluffy stories~ I'm just a romantic~ what can I say? | Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for For the sake of my ability, I would prefer not to get smut. Though I can enjoy it if I choose to, smut is a category which can go very very wrong. And I am afraid that my level of input would be low as well as possibly demeaning. |
