Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hmm. Figure I'll try out this Beta Profile thing. Anyways. I like to think I'm pretty good at catching mistakes in a fic, which for the most part seems to be true. Style-wise, I tend to look over everything and correct as I go; unless you specifically state otherwise, I'll probably rework/combine entire sentances so they flow better. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Generally I tend to notice spelling/homonym mistakes above anything else, with grammar as a close second. Depending on the 'verse, I can often pick out mistakes in canon, or at the very least logic-mistakes plotwise. If something doesn't make sense, or seems to be merely excess baggage, I'll point it out. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My English is (mostly) Canadian, therefore I spell things a little bit differently than the American way. Generally, this consists of random 'u's in certain words, like 'favourite'. Or doubled letters, like in 'travelled'. Also, I'm afraid to say I'm a major procrastinator at times. This is probably my biggest weakness. |

Nothing rape/torture/general sadism related, thanks. Most of the time, this includes anything Megatron/Starscream in the TF section, sorry. Anything else goes; het, slash, femmeslash, bot/organic, bot/bot... You name it, I'll Beta it. |
