Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader I'm a beginning beta reader as of now, but I don't think I'm THAT bad...ahem. Well, I'm pretty nitpicky on the portrayal of the canon characters in a fanfiction and the presence of potential Mary-Sues. While I abhor Mary-Sues, I LOVE well-written original characters in a fanfiction. If they happen to be paired with certain characters, that's fine, as long as it's well written. The only pairing I won't tolerate is someone with Kratos from Tales of Symphonia...I mean, KratosxRaine is bad enough. D:
I'm somewhat of a pairing-whore, but if there's none in a story (or just as much hints as given in the game/anime) then that's perfectly fine.
Pokemon is a tentatively new fandom of mine and as such, really the only thing I'll look at is SoulSilvership at the moment. :( | My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths I'm pretty good with character portrayal...and I'm getting rather nitpicky on grammar too. C'mon, a few here and there is okay, that's what the betas are for, but there's a computer grammar check button for a reason. :/
GillxLuna from Harvest Moon doesn't really fly by me for some reason either.
Also, I don't really like Kid paired with anyone (except for well-written OCs because I'm a loser). I dunno, I just can't really see him fitting that way with any of the canon characters. I LOVELOVE the KidLizPatti family/bffs dynamic though. |
