Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hmmm... what kind of beta reader am I? Well let's see, as a beta reader I mainly look into plot and see how your story is developing. So I will need a general storyline of how your fanfic is going to be. I also look into keeping characters in character and I make sure they don't stray going into OOC mode (unless intentionally for parody reasons.) I can also help in the field of, dun dun dun, writers block. I correct minor grammar errors, but other I can't do too much. I do offer the option of letting my grammar Nazi friends of mine read it to cover aspects of grammar. I am getting better though. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Keeping to the plot and keeping in character are strong points of mine. I can also compromise. I don't take any offense if you don't take a suggestion of mine. I only want to help out the writer as much as I can. There are probably more strengths, so when I think of them I'll list them. |

I'm weak when it comes to grammar. I'll need a book by my side to fix grammar problems and even then I'll probably miss some. I hand off my work to my grammar Nazi friends. I already asked one of them and she has agreed to go over any fanfics I beta for grammar mistakes. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
As for category for anime/ manga I prefer to beta for Yuu Yuu Hakusho and Fruits Basket. For novels I prefer Twilight. As for genre I prefer to beta action/ adventure, comedy and romance. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Shounen-ai, shoujo-ai, yaoi or yuri when it is not canon. Such as Kurama and Hiei, Kenshin and Sano, etc. |
