If I know about what I'm beta-reading, then I'll do my best to make sure characters are in character and tweak it where it's needed to achieve that. If it's something I'm unfamiliar with--like Wolf's Rain--then usually I simply end up correcting grammar and spelling. I might do some research on it, if only so I won't be completely useless in that aspect.

I'm good at finding synonyms to make things more interesting, and I excel at grammar, to the point that I surpass my English teacher.

If something is spelled right but misused (two, to, too, or there, their, they're) I won't always catch it. It may take me two or three reads to find everything.

I like slash, but I'll beta just about anything.

I won't read anything with any hardcore porn. I'm only fourteen; it still makes me uncomfortable.
