Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I personally have been told that I have a knack for improving stories. My stories themselves may have a few typos here and there, but that's because I have no Beta myself. I can improve stories that aren't my own very easily. Not only that, but when it comes to formatting I can make your story look visually appealing. I'm very good when it comes to grammar and can notice right and wrong uses in another person's story. I also have a pretty decent vocabulary and can do well with developing an accent or dialect. My first person POV experience would be my stories Waiting (16 Chapters planned; over half way done) and Wide Awake (1 Chapter). Flowers (11 Chapters done), Petals (11 chapters done), Inviting Luck (Many chapters planned), Juliet (6 Chapters planned), Ichirin no Hannah Montana (3 Chapters planned), The Fox and the Peacock (1 Chapter) and Kenpachi Saves Christmas (2 chapters) are my third person POV experience. If you have a good story, I'll try to help you convey it in the most beautiful way possible. :) |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strengths are my vocabulary, grammar skills, decent spelling skills, formatting abilities, my experience with different accents and dialects and my great knowledge of the anime or video games I volunteer to Beta for (anything that I have volunteered for, I have a great knowledge of. For example, I've beat Tales of Symphonia 9 times therefore I can easily tell you what's right and what's wrong). |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My weaknesses happen to be my over-perfectionistic attitude (when I have something, I want it to be AMAZING, not just good or great), my ability to let some things slip by (even I make mistakes), my good, but sometimes incorrect (I think it sounds good, but sometimes others differ) grammar skills, my laziness (if I like something, I'll do it, but things I don't like are harder for me to do) and my busy schedule (I still go to school, you know). |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Yaoi is all right in my book, but I also like regular pairings.
Bleach: I would love to do any Shunsui x Nanao, Aizen x Hinamori, Gin x Matsumoto, anything involving Grimmjow, Anything involving Szayel, Any straight pairing involving Kenpachi, anything involving division 11, anything with Mayuri, and...well I'll beta almost anything Bleach. I support OCs so I'll beta an OC story if you want also. Just check my 'not my cup of tea' list for specifics.
Blood+: Anything, really. I really love David x Julia and Mao x Okamura, though.
Death Note: I'll do anything that isn't on my 'not my cup of tea' list. Check that out. Oh, I am a Mikami x Light fangirl, though. I'll take that or Misa x Light in a heartbeat. I LOVE MATSUDA!!
Naruto: THIS IS VERY SPECIFIC! I will only beta the following pairings: Kakashi x Sakura, Kakashi x Asuma, Itachi x Kisame, Itachi x Sakura, Zabuza x Haku and Ibiki x Anko.
Paradise Kiss: I really really like George x Yukari. I'll do anything, though.
Phoenix Wright: I'll basically beta anything for Phoenix Wright. Although I really love the character of Godot/ Diego and I also adore the Phoenix x Maya pairing.
Tales of Symphonia: I like Kratos being straight. I'll do anything with Regal. Actually, Kratos x Regal would be quite hot. I only really offer my services here because I've beat the game 9 times, going on 10.

Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I will not Beta any Yuri story. Sorry, I just don't swing that way.
Bleach: Give me anything portraying Hitsugaya as good and I'll shoot you. I hate that white-haired, grumpy runt with a passion. I prefer Kenpachi being straight (sorry girls, as a Kenpachi x OC fanfic writer, I dislike Kenpachi x Ichigo). Shunsui x Ukitake isn't my cup of tea. Ichigo x Rukia is ok, but I've seen it too much so I'm a bit biased towards it.
Blood+: Hagi x Saya is a classic so I'll do it, but I prefer other pairings. Oh and no Diva x Riku. I don't want to say "OH NO, RIKU!" all over again. That was too traumatic.
Death Note: I don't really enjoy L x Light too much. Don't send me that. I hate Near with a passion also so don't send me any Near fanfics, please? I still won't forgive Near for killing Light. Oh, and Death Note OCs have a tendency of pissing me off. I only really volunteered for this because Death Note is my absolute favorite manga.
Naruto: I will not do anything that is not on my preferred list. Sorry guys, I like to keep my Naruto fanfiction specific. Oh, and I have no tolerance for Saucegay whatsoever. I hate that little emo boy with a passion.
Paradise Kiss: Fanfiction for Parakiss is rare so I'll offer my services to anything.
Phoenix Wright: I'll do anything, but don't send me some hardcore Phoenix x Edgeworth, please? I only moderately enjoy that pairing.
Tales of Symphonia: I dislike Kratos being gay for anyone except Regal. Colette is a big 'no-no' in my book. I like to pretend she doesn't exist (I'll still portray her well if your story has her in it) so Lloyd x Colette is out of the question. Kratos x Lloyd disgusts me, just to let you know.
