Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader I enjoy reading and writing. My beta style is to read the tale/chapter through once and then go back and make corrections to spelling and grammar as needed. Any characterization changes that need to be made to the character(s) would be made to the writer of the story so that they could correct them using thier own writing style. Not everyone writes or speaks the same way and any corrections to character speech and actions need to be done by the original author of the tale. I would just make suggestions as how to handle the changes, unless given specific permission to change it by the writer. | My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths I excel at technical jargon, the spelling of sound words (tisk, ahh, awww, etc). I have an extensive vocabulary and like to use than when writing - espeically when writing characters that are tech geeks. I also excel at writing descriptions of actions, sounds, and emotions in character speech. | My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses My weakness is my lack of descriptive powers for describing a person. Places, things, and actions are easier for me to describe than a person. | Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others I don't have any preferences for doing beta, but I would ask that those requesting a beta at least ask if I am familiar with the subject matter of the tale. I enjoy Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and action/adventure - but I do read almost any thing. | Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for Not really. I don't think I've ran across anything I wouldn't beta for someone. |
