Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader As a beta-reader, I generally try to keep a sharp eye out for grammatical and spelling errors and then I go back and figure out what could be changed to make the story better as a whole. If it's a multi-chapter story, I'll go back and read the previous chapters to see if it fits the set mood and feel of the story. And if someone wants me to beta-read for them, at least try to make it into a story. Don't have one big wall of text and then expect me to sort it out for you. | My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths Spelling is probably what I'm best at, closely followed by figuring out what could be better. My grammar isn't the best, but I'm still pretty good at it, as an aspiring writer myself. | My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses My weakness is really grammar, because my grammar in my stories isn't the best. My grammar in everyday life is generally pathetic as well. | Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others Angst and depressing stories. Those are things I love to read and write. | Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for Anything really sexually explicit. Otherwise, give me all you've got. |
