Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
If anyone has ever gotten a review from me from 2007 on, then you should know my style of reviewing. I'm a really big stickler for making sure characters are in-character. I comment on a lot of stuff and I do try to find good aspects in every fic I read. My expectations are that you don't send me an obviously crap story. Don't send me a script format fic or any type of fic in a format that is forbidden as described in the Terms of Agreement. Also, please send me something from a fandom that I actually KNOW. Otherwise, I can't help you. If you would like to know how the fandoms I'm in (because the ones listed in my profile is not extensive) then just ask. ^_^ |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Well I'm actually much better at reviewing than writing. With writing, I really like to write romantic and humor fics. All of my fics that are up right now besides History Repeat are all prior "writing breakthrough", which is when I actually IMRPOVED at writing. They all suck at the moment and I'm working on trying to improve it. I'm really good at parodies because I make fun of stuff ALL THE TIME and I'm super sarcastic. I think I'm personally much better at humor than romance. All of my humor fics are a lot better than my romance fics in my opinion. I'm also really good with the technical things like grammar, spelling, etc. Don't as why. I just am. XD |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I cannot characterize Zelos or Kratos for crap. I'm trying to get a better understanding of their characters right now and I have a pretty good idea because I role-play at i_s_l_a_n_d_rp and I have a sister who plays Kratos. She's super obsessed with him so she knows his character really well. I'm also really bad at writing angst, horror, and mystery concepts. They're not really my thing. I hate poetry too so I never write it. I don't mind READING it. I just can't write it. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I really like Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, and Tales of Symphonia fics the most because I am the most familiar with the fandoms and I know the characters' personalities really well. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Hmm...I would prefer not to get cliche storyline fics and Self-Inserts. I really do not like self-inserts. |
