Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I've always edited stories and poems and such ever since I can remember. I suppose that's what landed me the job as the newspaper editor for three years at my old high school. And I suppose that would be one reason why I majored in English in college.If anyone asks me to be their "beta" I can promise a few things: I'll be completely honest about the work, I'll not only pay attention to grammatical issues but also aspects of the story that can make it interesting and with a good flow, and I'll do my best to stay up to date and do everything in a timely manner. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Quite good at picking out grammatical errors, spelling and punctuation, as well as sentence structure. I prefer to work with making things sound more interesting and engaging so I work with ideas as well as structure. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
If I'm lazy I may slack on making the stories more engaging and instead just focus on grammatical issues. |
