Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'll try my best to not enforce my personal feelings about the story upon you (unless there are loopholes, etc). I would be critical, but I tend to point out the good first before easing into the not so good.
I spot generally spelling and grammar errors, and major loopholes in the plot, cliched and bad romance or really bad characterization. You could specify what I should look out for, too. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Spelling is a given. I can spot spelling mistakes pretty fast, so no worries. (Even though Word helps do that, too.) You can count on me when it comes to grammar, sentence structures and bad word choice. Characterization problems are okay with me, too. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm not exactly an experienced beta-reader, having only done that for close friends and a few others. Generally not good at plot advices, and/or coming up with better titles/summaries, but I could always try. (; |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
As long as the general plot is visible, no terrible spelling/grammar/punctuation, it's good. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Stories that contain pairings I don't really like might turn me off, but if it's well-written and in-character, it should be fine. Oh, and overly explicit fics. Mild ones, or tastefully done ones, are a-okay. |
