Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
As A beta reader I have little experience, yet I will rise to the challenge. My style would be mostly to comment on the work, search for errors, be them of storywise or gramatical, and help in the process of writting for the author, be it giving him plot ideas or by any other means. All works that I have a posibility to betaread will be left with comments on their effects and parts that could be changed or improved in the humble opinon of this critic...
For the most part I am a flexible beta, and will work with the author to improve the cuality of their writting.
I may be harsh but mostly I will try to help. All I ask of anyone that tries to ask for my services is to be open minded and try to follow or consider any opinions given... as that is the simple job of a beta...
Last and not least, I want to be given credit!!! {well... I should get it, right!!!} Still the jobs must be given some time, as life is too complicated and I need my time to carefuly grade each job... |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I, Blue Dragon, am an average Beta, I hope, my skill on the language are not the best comparabling to some of those grammar English grads who tend to seek the most minor mistake on a reading.
Yet I believe that I perform considerably taking into account that English is my second language (First being Spanish). For my other Stregnths well I am a descriptive and imaginative writters, so surely I can help in the work of the plot.
Still I am try to work and can find most mistakes and taking care to correct them... but I am not perfect but I will give my best.

My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
As English is my second language thus sometime I will not get some idioms and ideas.
My Grammar is not the very best but I believe I can be of help, but mostly I tend to use too many commas or run-on sentences.. but I am working on it...
My style tends to be sometimes too or little descriptive or too battle-centric... plus it appears that I tend to rush much on the updates of my fics, leaving some balant errors on the side, but as a Beta I hope to learn and work to overcome these problems... |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Preferredly the stories betaed should be medium sized or long, having interresting plots and ideas, but I can adapt easily to any situation, as an beta I will try to give each writter a true and objective responce to their work.
For the most part, I have no exact preferences for any fic, so it would be more if to see if the work is something that I as a beta feels interested and confortable working with.
I would likely prefer works in English yet any work in Spanish will be accepted... |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Yaoi, Spam, or any cliche idea such as the Mary Sue... There is not much I don't like but still I will reserve the right to reject any piece of work I don't particualy feel the need to be working on... |
