Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I've been writing stories for a long while now, and I've had a few betas before. It's nice to have someone to comment ahead of time before I put the story out for everyone. Because whenever I do that I read through later and find small errors and stupid stuff that could have been avoided, or a reviewer points out something that doesn't quite make sense. Two heads, and two sets of eyes, for that matter, are better than one. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm pretty good at keeping characters personalities the way they are supposed to be. And descriptions too. I can catch grammer mistakes fairly well too, (thanks to AP english class...) and can usually help with writers block if I'm needed. I have a good sense of rhyme and meter for poetry, also. I've seen every Danny Phantom episode, if that means anything. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I tend to want to steer the story in different directions than the author, but will be as uncontrolling as I can be. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'd really prefer action and adventure stories over romance, but any genre is good. And Vlad is my favorite character in the Danny Phantom series. :) |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I will not read slash. I can handle lemons between a girl and a boy, and crack stories, but absolutely no slash. |
