Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Having been on this site for a few years, I tend to come across a lot of grammatical errors. It doesn't bother me in any huge manner, but I noticed that it does tend to distract from the story. Even in my stories, I also make silly mistakes that make me think "how could I have missed that?" That's why I try to beta my own chapters before I post them, though usually there's always that one elusive error I miss. I love reading, and as such I've developed a keen eye for spotting most errors, though as I said, I tend to sometimes miss the more unnoticable ones. I promise that any job I accept as a beta reader will be completed in a timely manner, no more than a day or two within receiving the said document. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I really don't know what my strengths are, but I suppose that saying I find it somewhat fun to correct mistakes will count? I sure hope so. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I tend to miss a few of the more unnoticable mistakes, or will sometimes come across a word that's new to me ( in which I must find the meaning of immediately so I know what it is I'm reading ). If I think of more I'll be sure to add to this. |

General romance stories are always welcome, but I would also settle for any requests as well. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Generally anything that is written in a sexual context for the purpose of getting off. Sex is a wonderful thing, but that's no reason to include it in just for the hell of it. I refuse to put up with any "smutty" material ( especially if it involves a character I simply adore, that ruins their whole image for me ). I suppose yaoi as well. I have nothing against it, I just never really had any sort of interest in it. |
