Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hi, I'm Orcadia, or as I'm know more recently, Adarcoi. I'm a nineteen-year-old girl with a knack for Kingdom Hearts Romance/Angst/Horror. I look for a good sense of story line, anticipation, and it needs to have enough feeling, unlike many ones that I have read. It can't be...*The boy walked down the street, he entered the school and walked to his locker.* I stick with non-fantasy or at least strong reality based fiction; I'm classified mainly as Hurt/Romance and Tragedy stories that end with character death or intertwined with morbid plot line. Need something Beta-ed? Just ask, I love reading FF, it is my life. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I work with both Yaoi/Yuri (Slash, Fluff, the works). My Favorite Pairings are SoraRiku, Akuroku, Zemyx, plus the excessively masochistic Marluxia/Zexion or Xemnas/Anyone.
Adjectives please! I am known for being a wordy author and I'm the go-to person for in depth analysis of characters, genealogy, pairings, and the ties of the game to a good AU story.
I also work with REPO: The Genetic Opera, and Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, although I'm not as familiar.
I consider myself best with gore/dark/horror story lines and I have a dark mind (if that helps). |

I'm not as great with Grammar in my stories, but I can usually do well when reading others'. I'm a bit slow when it comes to reading/reviewing/beta-ing, but I promise not to take eternity for other's works. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Any Yaoi/Yuri; but mainly stick to Hurt/Comfort/Romance/Tragedy/Gore/Dark stories. I like to view my own stories as mini morbid soap operas where you never know what's going to happen next. Original story lines also strike my fancy, If it has been done a lot, it's not worth it. And seriously, the only kind of Het-pairing I take is NaMar, and those are mainly rape-fics, so...yeah. Not a big fan on Het-pairings. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Stories with poor story line, and a Sora/Kairi or Roxas/Namine main pairing. The story needs substance, meaning, write like a good writer, not a first grader. Have action with the speech, as well as using a limited amount of the same words. Switch it up.
If it's Romance, please T+ or M.
Absolutely no: K ratings. and Adventure plot lines, Indian Jones doesn't interest me. |
