Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
First, let me introduce myself. I'm Katie. Really, as a reader, grammatical things pop out for me first. If there are grammatical errors, I'm going to notice because I was an English major, and when you spend hours writing something and then rereading it, you tend to notice. So, generally, I will look for that first. Then I like to move onto flow, which generally means how paragraphs read, the transitions, and the dialog. Details are also important. Choppiness bothers me. So, that's another thing.
As for being a beta-reader, I am a working married woman with 2 dogs at home. So the turn around might take a day or two before I can get back to you. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Grammar. Making things flow better... the transitions. Dialog. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I will reread and reread until I think it's perfect. Too much detail can bog me down and I might miss something. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Bones stories. Booth and Brennan. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I don't really do any other couples besides Booth and Brennan. |
