Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Okay, I'm an over all big picture kind of reader, I like detales, a lot, but not so many that you lose the point of the story or the Charries in the storm of info...
So don't take a paragraph to describe the room!
My expectations are as follows: Story's that are more than a random half-thought thats only about 200 words, and with no regard to spelling or grammar, my spelling is bad, so I USE SPELL CHECK!
I will not reply to any Re-requests if I have turned a story/writer down, I am a fast reader, but I have just a little free time, so please don't make me waste it. |

I'm good at pointing out strong points in Charrie Development (CD) as well as weak points, also, I am a dialog specialist; I like good dialog, as it's the linch-pin (Or core if you prefer) of ALL Fiction... |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I tend to be impressed with lots of info/background, and I tend to take it at face value.
I say this because what I write, whatever I can't research, I make up, and I make sure that the reader knows this, and I assume that everyone else does this... yeah...
and I also love a good scene with food/eating, call me crazy, but two or more people eating together has all kinds of apeal for me for many CD reasons... |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer story's that are a fair mix, action without comedy? yuk. Romance w/out mystery? gawd no!
so if all you have is three chapters of pure action, with a dash of playful banter or a few one liners, don't bother me please... |

I'm not a big fan of slash... sorry, I hold no ill will to anyone who writes it (of lives it) but it's just not my style... I don't mind doing lemon's, but please understand, Fiction has to make sense, so a story with 75%+ sex in it... Dirty Minded Horny Boy that I am, I'll pass... there IS more to life that just sex... there's jokes, food, and fighting! |
