having challenged someone to write a sonnet about dinosaurs in the style of Tennyson I figured I ought to have a go myself. Anyone else want to take up the challenge?

Dedicated to my local regiment who has lost too many soldiers for no reason and has been betrayed by our political masters with inadequate support.
