Twig is the captain of the Edgedancer, and somehow manages to be the fiercest captain in all the land and a caring father and husband. Maugin and Twig muse on their life in the sky, and the many children that inhabit the ship they call home.

Twig has never laid eyes on another human before, let alone a gorgeous female human. When she drops out of the sky and finds him, will Twig fall hopelessly in love? After all, it's not every day a beautiful girl walks into your part of the forest.

Twig rescues Cowlquape from the cruel hands of Vox and takes him back to a New Sanctaphrax where all is not well. Cowlquape's supposedly dead father has come back to rule the Edge and Twig and Cowlquape must work together to stop him. Twig/Cowlquape slash
