Mary exists in a world filled to the brim with despair. Just when she feels like she is one with the Unconsecrated, something happens that changes everything- for better or worse, she can't tell. So what happens when the Unconsecrated do not breach the fences and overrun the village? What if Mary's mother was never Infected? Let's find out. (ON HIATUS)

Do you ever wonder what happened to everyone after the apocalypse? How they survived right when it ended? How the Forest of Hands and Teeth came into existence? Well, here comes the answers. This is a replacement fic for The Beginning of the End.

Brooklyn is alone. For so long it has been this way just her and the unconsecrated. Without hope but she continues on anyway, she doesn't know why she just does its the way her life has always been from the time of her village's breach and destruction and when she actually had hopes of finding someone else in this dark and dead world.

I never really thought of how water could twist and turn in the ocean. It was a breath of life so unfamiliar to me. Nothing ever felt so alive and free, not hiding under a barrier-Gabry and Catcher are alone in the Dark City-Threats take more than lives.

So, we were never told who the man was that killed the Unconsecrated at the beach. Of course, there will be another book, but given my mind and the worthless time it has to think, who was he? Complete ... Mostly
