Jonas is gone. The memories slowly come as flashbacks to the Community's citizens when the memories can tie in to their lives. Asher can't stand it, feeling that he causes emotional pain to the children when he plays with them. Lily is going to...(SPOILER!), so the two can only do one thing-escape.

This story, serving as a prequel to Dissenters and Descendants, depicts the account of a young woman who escapes Elsewhere to live the communities and is known in Elsewhere as the Lost Daughter. In the communities, she meets the Receiver of Memory, who alone can understand her pain. She learns of her fate and eventually births a boy who we have known as The Giver.

"Pierre was very serious, not much fun, and a worrier and tattletale, too. ' Have you checked the rules, Jonas' Pierre was always whispering solemnly." (Lowry 50). Pierre's thoughts of Jonas' sudden departure form the Community.

The final chapter of The Giver leaves many things unknown to the reader. Lowry intentionally makes the conclusion of the novel vague in order for each of us to create, in our own mind, the ending that seems right for us. This is my chapter 24! And I know it is not divergent related, but I did it for a school project and I really like mine, so Im wanted to share it with you! ENJOY

My version of how The Giver ends. I haven't read any of the sequels, so sorry if it doesn't make much sense. I wrote this in English, thought I'd might as well post it.

A terrible war has just ended, and now the people of the world must pick up the pieces. These are my thoughts about the good side of the dystopia, and what could have led to it. Not my usual fandom, so please tell me how it comes across. Rated T.

I do not own the giver it was written by Lois Lowry . This may be a little OOC so I'm sorry. Jonas finds elsewhere and meets someone along the way and figures out secrets that were never known.

How poetry entered the life of the Community, and what happened as a result.

When Jonas leaves the community, Fiona can't get him out of her head. Literally. As the memories begin to flood the community, she develops a unbreakable bond with him through her thoughts, one that even distance couldn't keep away. Is it love? What would happen if suddenly several characters were replaced with IZ characters and everyone was brain washed. what you get is a story with a bit of a twisted plot.

Birthmothers: they are cognitively deficient degenerates, they are clever as foxes. They are full of love; they are in mourning. They are base, they are complex. They can never live, they never want to die. They carry life, yet so worthy of death. Complexity is not what the community wants. Complexity causes trouble. Complexity gets you killed.

"One for here, one for Elsewhere," Lily chanted. "One for here, one for Elsewhere." (Page 136) She had an inclination for telling stories and now that she's made it to Elsewhere, she decides to write a story about a Community citizen and his/her Elsewhere counterpart.

Her name was Chloe. She had been a Birthmother, now she was an Attendant to the Receiver (a high honor job for a retired Birthmother). She did her job well, and obeyed all the rules. But there was more to this young woman than meets the eye. Starting with the love she felt for her products, her friends, and the two men who would change her life.

In the first book, the Giver explains tat he once had a daughter, named Rosemary who took in on Releasing herslf.
