A "ten years later" fic (originally written for a class assignment)

A/N: Just an idea right now, based on the concept of reincarnation. What would happen if Miss Havisham came back? 'Alex remembers. Remembers who she was and who she became. Can she catch up with the modern world or will her sanity slip away again' Rated T for safety. Since I'm not sure how this will go. Mainly based on the 2012 film with possible references to the book.

If this is poor quality, please excuse it! I have only just started studying Great Expectations in English, and we are focusing on the character or Miss Havisham. I decided that from the information I already know, I would write a monologue. I just wrote what I think she would possibly say in a monologue, but maybe with more modernised vocabulary! Please let me know what you think!

I read Great Expectations a while ago, and throughout the whole thing, I was rooting for a sort of certain... twist. An impossible twist. Anyway, Pip and Herbert were giving off a vibe, so I wrote a little story hinting at what I wanted to happen. It's a little weird, but I thought I'd put it up here anyway.

Honestly, I didn't like Great Expectations. Miss Havisham is pretty cool, though. In a spiteful, controlling way. Granted, most of her behavior in the book wasn't to make someone fall in love with her, but I couldn't resist adapting it.

"Gone was the quick, flashing eye that irritated my sensibilities and quickened my heart when we were younger. Her beauty had faded into a shadow of her brilliance during those winter nights in society. That evening on the hallowed grounds of our meeting place, she picked her steps slowly, content to leave her hand in mine." Pip and Estella, at the end of all things.

This is an alternate ending for Great Expectations starting at chapter 44. WARNING pretty much everyone dies

Miss Havisham musings. Lost in darkness; forever doomed to be The ghost of Satis House. Mostly based upon the BBC 2011 miniseries with Gillian Anderson as Havisham.

Modern university AU. As far as first impressions go, Herbert and Pip did not get off to a good start. Pip/Herbert

Herbert has some very good news to share with his dear Handel.

Modern day. Pip just wants to become popular so he can win the heart of the hottest girl in school: Estella Havisham. PARODY. Two-shot.

Set just after the end of Great Expectations. Pip has invited Estella over to reminisce, much to Herbert's chagrin. Clara is worried. Rated K for possible subtext, if you squint a little

"Aurelia glared ferociously at him, like a kind of wild bear who was hunting prey in the forest, but it was not as piercing as was usual, and it was obvious to any onlooker that she was in great distress and agony." The day of Miss Havisham's wedding.

When Estella comes back at the end of the book what is she thinking and do her and Pip have a future together? Had to reupload. Same story as before.
