Magic does as it wills... in its own way. Years pass in a moment - or does a moment pass in years? Amalthea is dying; at last her three most loved and trusted friends can finally tell her the secret they've had to keep for all the years of her life.

This story is based on the book "The Last Unicorn" by Peter S. Beagle. It is not about "the" unicorn. I was just wondering, how the other unicorns had been caught, and this is my version.

Now, it was a fleeting memory of a time all but long forgotten. But sometimes she still remembers.

Molly finds herself stripped of the benefit of benign magic, stuck with a strange man, in a stranger house. Yeah... life is many things, and fair isn't one of them, especially when dealing with immortals.

It was a time that happened only because the magician turned her into a human, into a mortal. Yet,now, he still could not forget her. But what was the point? An immortal couldn't love, and Lir could remember all he wanted, but nothing would change.
