Prydain drabble. The death of Eilonwy's mother, as described by the evil Morda in ch. 8 of Taran Wanderer, but here from Angharad's perspective. Also draws on the backstory of Angharad's elopement in "The True Enchanter" from The Foundling and Other Tales of Prydain.

Taran, Fflewddur & Eilonwy meet a fierce girl by the name of Kenina in the woods one day. She's witty, stubborn and doesn't usually open up to people; but when Taran learns otherwise he finds that his feelings for this girl aren't just of friendship.

Achren regrets the promises she has broken, and makes new ones. Set near the beginning of The High King.
