A rewrite to the ending of Mice and Men. No slash. "I love you, George." He almost couldn't do it. His finger shook as it lay against the trigger of the pistol, almost unable to pull it back. He look away, and sniffled, letting one tear fall down his face. He looked back up, staring at the back of Lennie's head. "I love you, too, Lennie." Then he pulled the trigger.

But he still knew, deep as the sun was setting, why he felt despairing: it was the guilt. It was a certain pain that he bear upon his back. A sin, indelible; a crime without punishment. Rather, it was the crime he had committed years ago, the one act that changed his life forever. Lennie was dead… and it was all his fault. Warning: Cursing and alcohol use.

Lennie and George never really got their happy ending. Candy and Crooks had their problems too. On the day that the boys are run off the ranch, George had to make a life-changing choice, to shoot, or not to shoot. The story says he shot. But what if he didn't? What if they ran off again, and actually made it? This is a snapshot of a day in the life of the dream, if it came true.

George's Point of View. What happened when George discovered Curley's wife, dead on the barn floor? How did he make the decision to end Lennie's life? And how did he cope afterwards with the pain and the knowledge that he himself had killed his best friend? A two-shot for my GCSE Creative Writing Assessment, I'm only putting it up because it got full marks, what do you think?

This is something I did for school as and extra chapter thingy. Tells about what happens to most of the main characters.

Something for English class. A ranch hand witnesses the scenes in the bunkhouse when George and Lennie first arrive. He runs off and tells the whole thing to his friends in the barley fields. Rating is only for slight language. Nothing serious.

Stacey is just a worker in Tyler's Ranch until the newcomers came in, George and Lennie, she sees them as they're strange guys from somewhere else, but she began falling for one. One problem: She's hard of hearing. George/OC

In class afer we had read the book, we wrote a seventh chapter. I decided to make another book to go along with OMAM.

This started off as an English project to create a final, lost chapter of the book "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck. Set after George has shot Lennie. George, Slim and Candy discussing what they should do next. Reviews would be much appreciated.

Just something that I had to write for English class about what would happen after the end of the book. ;)

George can't take the guilt anymore. When the ghost of his friend Lennie calls out to him, George finally knows what he has to do, regardless of what it may do to others and himself...

Slim says I could jus' go get that lan' without you an' live on the fatta the lan' myself. But that wouldn't be no good, Lennie. That was our dream together, not mine alone. I ain't gonna do it without you. I ain't gonna do nothing without you ever again, Lennie.

It's been one and a half years after Lennie's death. George thinks he's healed the wounds of the past, but a little boy will make him realize that there's still hope. School Thingy.
