Mary Lennox is now seventeen but yearns for an easier time. A time before the war. She yearns to be a child in her garden with Colin and Dickon. But mostly, she yearns for a love she cannot have. A Dickon/Mary story.

Dear Miss Mary, I write this note because I am a coward. / The regret, the horrid regret, twisted and churned in her heart as her mind suddenly thought back to all those wonderful, magical times she had spent in Dickon's presence. / "I thought we didn't hide secrets from each other." In the aftermath of WWI, life moves forward. MxD, eventual CxOC, M/D/C friendship. NOT for those who dislike MaryXDickon, or for those who dislike Colin.

Growing up is never easy. For Mary, Dickon and Colin, it will be the hardest thing they've ever done. And maybe this time, not even the garden will be enough to save them. My take on the future of these characters, as they learn to live, laugh and love all over again. Set during World War One. D/M, eventual Colin/OC.
