Asphodel: flower used to in Victorian flower language to mean "my regrets follow you to the grave"; the flower that the shades in the underworld ate in Greek mythology, growing on the banks of the river Lethe (forgetfulness). Stephen understands it a bit too well. Stephen/Rory, bit of cursing. No spoilers for The Madness Underneath.

(SPOILERS) Boo and Rory, continuing from the end of The Madness Underneath, set out to find Stephen. (This is my first time writing something like this; for the love of God please be kind - not that you have to be, I'm just happy to be here *clutches Academy Award*. It's probably full of inaccuracies but I read The Name of the Star over a year ago and did zero research for this.)

How many back-and-forth shoves could a soul (yet another vague theoretical) take, across the mortal coil? When would the world finally throw up its hands and declare enough? Now. When Rory's hand moved over his shoulder.

A quick one-shot, Alistair meets Rory, from the former's point of view. I'm sorry if there are any inaccuracies, I'm afraid I don't currently have my copy of the book to check the details of the scene.

He's never died before, not really, so he doesn't know what to expect as it happens, but it sure as hell isn't this.

"Rory," he said. But it was a quiet protest, and it went nowhere. An extension of my favorite scene from The Madness Underneath. Oneshot.

Post-The Madness Underneath. "Trauma didn't make you mad; it was the unceasing monotony." Stephen Dene ends up somewhere he never expected, but in retrospect, it was the only place that really made any sense. Mainly S/R friendship, with some romantic inclinations if you turn your head and squint. One shot.

He's just a boy who can see the dead, and couldn't really deal that well with people. She's just an American girl who happened to attract danger. Yet, somehow he couldn't help but be drawn to her, almost as if a magnetic pull existed between the two. She seemed as if she understand him better than most, and he was curious to see if she did.

HARK THERE BE SPOILERS (?) FOR MADNESS UNDERNEATH. one-shot StephenxRory, or the time where Jaz decided she really needed a longer makeout sesh between these two goofs.

A little Alistar drabble, in which he reflects on an eternity at Wexford.

Over this life there are many things that Stephen has come to learn. The first being this: everyone dies. There is not happy ending, there is no happy ever after. Everyone just die. Alert: Trigger Warning.

It had not taken long for the Shades to realize the fact that only Stephen could successfully calm down the traumatized Rory while she dreamed. Slight S/R.

He used to be good at this, pushing memories and people and ideas away so he wouldn't over think. But that skill had began to fade away leaving him to this point of not being able to sleep.

He liked to understand why things happened, and what caused them, and so on and so forth. So, you can understand how much it frustrated him when he couldn't fathom why Rory Deveaux had to get the Sight of all people. Implied S/R.
